So sick!

I'll play too. Been a while for updates from me. Like Lance mentioned, my car got delayed as the shop needed to finish a car for Sema (Silver K-Break LS460). Sucks but it happens. However over the past 2-3 weeks they've been really making some good progress. Here are some pics.

These are the first coats of color. They need to finish up a few things, add some accent colors, and then assemble and then lay the pearl on top. Should hopefully be 2-3 weeks til completion.

Also were you aiming for a similar color to the bensopra 350z?

Actually not at all, my thinking was originally something like the Weld FRS.

No Cutting Corners: The Weld FR-S - Speedhunters

But after talking with the painter we actually strayed away from that idea and ended up with a lighter red color. Something he picked out actually.

However this cherry red is not really the final color.. There's a blue pearl that will be laid over this, so bodylines etc will darken up to a purple-ish hue.. looked pretty cool on the sample he did up for me a couple weeks ago.

Also most all of the carbon pieces on the car will have a ever so slight red pearl/flake added to them. The raw carbon fiber didn't really go well with the pearl color, the light red pearl ties it in nicely.

And... Most people don't buy their Amuse kits from Amuse...

Liquid_G 12-11-2014 07:35 AM

Luckily none of the replica shops have stolen this design from Varis yet.

Because their prices are usually not amusing so we wait for good replica's.
Sometimes I wonder if this designs can be patented

Can try VSDC, I dont think replica shops can make this.
"VSDC" = Varis Semi Dry Carbon. If you ever get a chance to look under the hood, you will notice two different types of carbon weaves and two different textures. This is because the structure & skeleton of the hood are reinforced with dry carbon and finishing it off with wet carbon. I wish we had pictures to show you but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to follow up with Varis during the actual show so we didn't get access to the Z34. Thank you for the warm welcome back; it has been hectic trying to catch up on ten days of missed work ha-ha. @370Ztune

@SNSD YOONA That hood looks amazing. I'm kinda kicking myself for not ordering it back then. Once my CC bills cool off from this paint job its definitely on the list.

To each his own. No one is forcing this onto anyone. Varis is a respectable brand with designs that are respected in the industry.
