Rice is crap on crap wrapped in crap. It is big fart cans and half falling off kits that are held on with stickers. It is wings bigger than a 747 on cars that can't get past 80.

Rice is NOT a $10,000 body kit on $30,000 car, with a $5,000 paint job, and $26,000 worth of twin turbos and mods that make it a 600hp monster.

Call my car rice and you are saying more about yourself than me and my car.

<end rant>

*f'ning farmers, 'dark side of the moon', 'random', and the use of the term rice...gets me every time. :D

Yea man definitely agree. Was just trying to soften the blow from all the haters. I love that kit and if I wasn't trying to go full carbon from top to bottom this would have been on my car. Can't wait to see the final pics.

lol i figured since you can buy Amuse replica kits on Amazon now its probably time to change things up. It will be nice to have something a little less common.

They just barely bolted on a few pieces so I can get an idea of things. Going to be making a few minor modifications to the kit that suite me better.

Also spent like 4 hours deciding on paint colors.. going to be amazing.. Obviously the full respray is going to take longer but it will be worth it in the end.

BTW working being done by Fizz Autosports / Premiere Auto Service in Chicago. The painter there does pretty incredible work.

looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Since you seem to have unlimited funds, maybe you can donate your authentic amuse bumpers to a very needy member....Moi! :)

Liquid_G 08-20-2014 10:08 PM

lol i wish i had unlimited funds.. Just lucky to have a decent job and few bills. This is going to stretch me pretty thin though.. time to stock up on Top Ramen...

Although I actually already have a buyer lined up for the Amuse kit. So that should help.

FairladyZ10PG 08-20-2014 10:09 PM

^ lol that's cool

Can I ask which wing you're going with?

ZeroZeta 08-20-2014 10:22 PM

Looking good Liquid! Looks like we will have some midwestern Varis representation.

I am poor and only have the front bumper ordered with the rest to come next year.

I take it the fitment is close to perfect? I have yet to see a Varis pic with any gaps between the panels or hear owners complain about having to do extra work to get things to fit.

Liquid_G 08-20-2014 10:31 PM

He said the fit was not bad at all compared to some he's seen. But every kit needs finishing if you want it too look perfect. There are lines from the mold that obviously need to be smoothed etc..

Cool thanks. I was wondering if the fitment was good enough that I could drop the bumper off to get prepped/painted and do the install myself.

Also thanks for mentioning Fizz. I am still new to the area and hadn't heard about them before. I will definitely check them out.

Liquid_G 08-20-2014 10:53 PM

Fizz just opened their new shop on Lawrence in the city. Much better than their old place in Arlington Heights. Actually has a full spray booth and tons of room. Had a few friends get work done by his body guy and its pretty top notch.

as far as dropping it off I'd say thats a tough call. If you want the paint to match perfect you're better off leaving the car there. for something like a bumper you shouldn't be down that long.

Definitely sub'd Gene, can't wait to see this in person!!! Love your plans with it as well!
