I think it is somewhat looser, but it's not like anyone is going to use it to secure a pen. Probably fine for items larger then a....... pen.

I have the collapsible cargo organizer. It secures very well to the car and holds most objects without any worry. There's no top, so taller items can topple out of it under more "enthusiastic" driving. A 6 pack of beer fits perfect in the compartments
I would consider the quality just 'ok' at MSRP. But for ~$35 I was very pleased with the quality.
