Door closing

I open the door to the car to 1st notch or 2nd and it always comes back before I can roll out. Can this be adjusted? the passenger has the same problem so it is not just me. I will have 1 leg out and the door just doesn't catch very well. Any ideas?? tighten or file something

Story of my life. My driveway isn't flat and every time i get out my door tries to kill me.

Pages DLK-212 through DLK-214 of the 2009 FSM shows the "door check link" which looks like it controls the stops. No adjustment procedure is given. :(
