I think I have to agree. I'm not digging the exposed shaft. And that's usually the kind of thing I like :nutswinger:

Jayhovah 07-11-2014 08:21 AM

Ugh..... I kind of like it.

enkei2k 07-11-2014 08:25 AM

If the OP posts up pics with a female using it as such, I will change my verdict :icon17:

IMO, I think it would work if the shaft was the same diameter, but since the 370 design is stepped like that, it does not look good.

If it were possible to get the neo-chrome look on the shaft, like the knob, it would look cool. I wonder if that is a coating that could be applied...

Put your pants back on son! Not in this car.

kenchan 07-11-2014 11:03 AM

when you buy wire shelves it comes with these plastic collar rings in the packaging. people
toss those out, but i keep them to make the collars for the boots. :D

i think you need to pull that boot up and finish it off.

SouthArk370Z 07-11-2014 11:16 AM

Egads! I agree with kenchan.

The knob looks OK but the boot needs to be in place to hide that ugly shaft.

kenchan 07-11-2014 12:45 PM

yes no shafts no snakes

i guess if you really wanted to show that shaft portion, you should paint it.

and make a nice collar or something nice looking to hold the boot down to make it look like it's suppose to look like that.

RyanWest 07-11-2014 02:12 PM

BTW its a B&M short shifter.

The boot is held down. I modified it.

kenchan 07-11-2014 02:13 PM
