Almost 100k miles on his NISMO. I'll bet the windshield gets sand-blasted out in Cali. My Camaro had 3 in the 3 years I had it because of sand.

I will be getting another one shortly for that same reason. AZ is horrible for sand and rocks being thrown in the air by wind or vehicles.

Just an update on this...
Insurance Company said that on this car, it's standard practice to have the A Pillars ready to go in case the clips break. The pillars came pre-painted (I was originally told they would have to be painted) which eased my fears. I went down and compared them and couldn't see any difference in color, so I went ahead with the replacement. I have a zero deductible policy (it was like $10 more a year than $500 for some reason) so didn't cost me a thing. Cost to the insurance company - $1777. Each A pillar was $645.

Just had mine done by safelite, requested Pilkington. After closing the hood right after the tech drove away, noticed the A-pillar doesn't line up right on one side, and that same side's A-pillar cover is pretty loose near the bottom even though the clip at the bottom of the cover is attached... Do you guys know if the A-pillar cover's weatherstripping is supposed to sit over the plastic weatherguard at the bottom of the windshield near the hood, or if it supposed to sit under it? Currently they have the A-pillar's sitting above it.

When you guys press on your A-pillar or try to wobble it around, is it pretty solid near the bottom of the A-pillar? Never really paid attention but it does move around now.

It's definitely supposed to go over the top of the plastic shroud at the bottom of the windshield. And I checked both of my Z's A-pillars for movement - neither has ever been removed. They definitely wobble back and forth more than I ever noticed or would have guessed. Maybe 1/2" play overall. So it sounds like you're probably ok.

And what's your fuckin point? I responded to a post that was 6 days old. With a relevant answer I might add. Do you have a problem with that?

You, on the other hand, continue to $hit all over threads on this forum with useless garbage. You responded to the OP from July 2014. With an absolutely worthless response
