Seatbelt extender Arm

Is there a trick to getting the seatbelt extender arm in the up position? I pushed the passenger side arm down to get behind the seat and now it's locked in the down position and the seatbelt buckle is banging against the pillar when I'm driving. I don't see any buttons or anything to push and I don't want apply too much pressure for fear of breaking it. The owner's manual is of no help, it just says to pull it up. Help! :tiphat:

2013 NISSAN 370Z - Seat Belt Adjustment - YouTube

This is no help, the arm clicked when pushed down and now won't go up and I've applied some pretty good force. :shakes head:

There is only about an inch of travel of adjustment between the high and low setting.

There is a slight clicking sound between both settings.

I can adjust mine up or down with little effort stopping at the clicking sound of course.

You may have to look at the position of the driver side, and move the passenger side by force since you used too much force to begin with.

As a side not: the Z has the smoothest seat belt operation of any car I have ever driven.

Yeah I messed with the driver's side and it would only move down about an inch like you said, but somehow I got the passenger side all the way down vertically. Anyway, I ended up sticking a common screwdriver between what appears to be a metal clip outboard of the arm on where it rotates with the seat belt, then I pulled the arm up and it clicked once then I pulled it all the way up and it clicked again. I must have pushed it down past its normal limit the first time. Good to go now! :icon14:
