Default vents always blow hot air

I might sound like a n00b here, but in my Z, even when i have the fan turned all the way to cold, it still blows out hot air, even on a day when its not hot. AC works, and it cools down, but turn the AC off, and bam, hot air again within 10 minutes.

is this a problem that needs fixing, or is this normal? any info is appreciated. thanks!

i could be wrong, but i believe without the AC being turned on the vent will not blow air that is any colder than the air outside the car.

if it's a hot day out, of course it wont blow cold air unless the AC is on, but if it is winter and the air outside is cold, then you will get cold air from the vent.

just push the button so its set to circulate air as opposed to pulling in fresh air from outside and it won't do it anymore

if you push the ac button and you don't see the light indicators on the the ac it's not on, if you push it again and the indicators are on the ac is on just adjust the temp to your choosing. If you were to push the mode button the the air circulation will be on not the ac this is on the prem pkg with nav.

recirculate and AC are always together, though, to that end, I haven't checked if it does that for heat as well.

as for it blowing hotter than outside air - it's pulling air from the engine bay, so, yeah, it'll be pre-warmed.
