Door locks

I wish I could have both doors unlock with one touch on the door locks instead of twice. Wifey just got a 2014 Rogue Sl fully loaded and we have teh sam problem. Has anyone figured out a way to make this happen.
Thanks in advance

In my past car (VW GTI) this could be changed with programming - maybe the dealer has the ability to modify it?

Zteve 06-23-2014 09:28 AM

i use the door button and since my passenger door is the first one i get to in the garage, when i press it it opens the drivers door too

Yea bothers me too but I figured it's a security thing. Let us know if you figure it out

Press twice but I guess that takes twice as long and your in a hurry.

you cant have it programmed to open all doors?

my dd has 4 doors and when i did the auto-unlock all doors feature, suddenly i felt unsafe when i shut off the car. so i just hit unlock manually before i turn off the car when i know it's safe to unlock the doors and do the auto driver door only unlock.

On my nav I can set it to one touch for all doors, but I don't think you can with the non-nav without the dealer reprogramming.

But why? I mean really how much time and effort are you saving? Maybe a half a second? Personally I love the feature. It is a safety thing. Plus I can keep my passengers locked out instead of them accidentally throwing the door open before I back out the car to let them in when parked in tight spaces.

It's not the time, I back into most spaces and every day when I come out of the gym I place my gear on the floor of the passenger side and walk over to the driver side to find it locked ( yes I forget as my car is still new and I have not gotten into a routine), so this would save me sometime specially when it's pouring rain..

lol, I'm not sure which year you have but my '13 has the button on each lock that you can press without ever touching the fob, same goes for the trunk.
I had previous cars that you could change the factory setting using cheat codes you placed on the radio as in my '10 FJ and or the information screen just above the steering like my 2013 VW's Beetle Turbo (I know I know, it was a chicks car :nutswinger:)

Explicit about what in particular? In the Nav's comfort settings, you can enable/disable one touch door locks. For all other models, I've been told that apparently you can have a Nissan dealer use their CONSULT diagnostic unit to program features like the one-touch door locks, automatic headlight times, etc. Whether this is true or not is another story, but it supposedly is so take it face value.

Yes. Nav comfort setting.

It's under others.

I want to thank you all that replied my post as I was able to turn off "lock selective" on both the Z and the Rogue using the Nav
And I apologize for placing this topic in the wrong section.
