Default T15 LED in T10 Headlight socket?

The parking light LEDs that I've put in the headlights normally burn out after several months. I'll pass it up to cheapo ebay stuff. So now I'm looking at high power ones that are called projector Cree 5 watt which should be much brighter and looks more durable. Cree led's use metal housings since the use of plastic will melt.
I've read that t10/t15 use the same socket and that it's the actual bulb that are different sizes. So even though it looks like there's still some wiggle room for a big bulb in the w5w housing, I just want to be sure. There are t10 Cree 5w postings, but I like this one posting since they have a 5 year warranty on it.
