Nissan spruce on things like a steering wheel are nuts. In USA likely that nismo wheel will cost 1300 retail. Yet I'm sure a 2015 zo6 steering wheel sans airbag will be $300. I bought honda leather wheels sans airbags for $160 bucks. But somehow even a base model nissan wheel retails for a grand.

Anyway I see on ebay someone selling refurb steeling wheels that copy this design. They ask $600 which is still nuts. But hopefully more people start doing this and drive down costs because that steering wheel and the reactors would be a nice addition to my 2013

I believe a single lug nut on a Ferrari might be close to 1k.

People like me.... What are you trying to say. Lol Admittedly I can be overly cost conscious at times I just find the pricing to be way outta whack versus everyone else. I don't benchmark against Ferrari as that would be Like pricing a Rolex against a timex. If you could buy a Ferrari wheel for 300 you would see Honda civics all over rocking a Ferrari wheel. But forget nismo, look at a base model z wheel oem list. It's a mass production steering wheel not über limited highly sought after titanium/dry carbon/alligator skin/ with integrated iPad wheel.

Since I'm keeping my Nismo for life, I'll collect and install all Nismo goodies on my 09' #080

In that case shouldn't you keep it as close to stock as possible?

Yep, but anything can upgrade to newer version Nismo. Or anything hard to get I'll replace.

he has a point though. If stupid people keep paying 1050 for it, nissan will keep charging 1050 for it. He is absolutely right, its a mass produced part sold at a premium. My first job when I was 16 was best buy geek squad "lulz now" and I remember the manager saying their #1 proffit bringer AT THE TIME was car audio. Between 200-500% markup from what BB got the equipment for. Stupid consumers=stupid prices. And smart fat cats bank on that. So instead of complaining how expensive it is, stop buying it or like products "on a mass scale" and that will force prices down. I want one too, and the seats. But you have better luck just buying them straight from Recaro and customizing them by the time nissan gets done inflating the greed price.
