Question about demon eyes mod

I have the 2014 370z. Does completing the demon eyes set up on your head lights affect regular operation of the head light? Say i don't want it to glow

Does completing the demon eyes set up on your head lights affect regular operation of the head light? Say i don't want it to glow red and i want to use the headlight to see the road will i be able to switch the demon eyes on and off? Or does the demon eyes permenantly just make the head lights glow and you have no actual head lights? Any help gladly appreciated
