TWM Performance Shift Knob
I had been thinking about getting a short shifter but after some research I opted just to try a weighted shift knob. Ordered a Big Type R from TWM Performance. Brown truck delivered it this afternoon. I'll take it out for some testing tomorrow.

You need a ballcock shank washer or some premade finisher to finish it off.
Looks unfinished without it. |

Ordered this finishing ring from Zeetoys.com and it came in the raw aluminum finish but wanted to match the knob. Took it to work today, scuffed sanded, wash primer and a finish coat of Polane color matched to the knob. I'll install this evening when I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
might suggest putting a piece of nylon between the finisher and your biggie type-r so that your paint doesnt scratch off when you tighten down the knob. :)

Not real sure which one I like better, I kinda like it without the ring

Had the same issue with my shift knob OP. I went out to Home Depot and bought this and mine sits perfectly flush. Use this:
