Water Transfering

Simple: your wheel finishes are powder coated on (unless they are bare polished metal) and that is very, very durable. Clear coat is not at all as durable as powder

Simple: your wheel finishes are powder coated on (unless they are bare polished metal) and that is very, very durable. Clear coat is not at all as durable as powder coat. Painted wheels are nice looking but usually "for show only".

Lots of wheels come painted and cleared. Manufacturers wouldn't do it to all their cars if it happened every few months like you say.

That is true, but compare their finish to a powder coated finish after time and you will see the difference.

Most wheels are painted.


The issue with paint is that it's less durable when mounting and unmounting tires. But paid is more resistant to UV fading from what I've seen
