Would like your opinion on my buzzing problem

Hi all,

Recently I had couple threads regarding buzzing after I installed my exhaust. I figured out that it was the exhaust vibration caused the screws on the latch to became loose and started the buzzing. I retied them but it didn't help long. So I come here to see if anyone has any suggestion on how I should go about this problem? I'm thinking of super glue on back of the nail. :tiphat::tiphat:

Threadlock it if you're sure it's a screw

Not just a screw... It's almost all of them are loosing up.

If you are talking about threaded fasteners, some Loctite (or equiv), as per DjSquall, should do the trick. I'd get the "soft" stuff (eg, Blue 242) so it will be easier to remove the bolts later.

RTV may work for this application and may be easier to find.

Thanks. I will try it out tomorrow. There's home depot near me.

I've just accepted buzzes and rattles.

I tried Loctite blue one. Unfortunately the buzz is coming back again. Should I try the red?

Unless the screws have backed out again, no. If the screws have backed out, it's worth a try.

Yes the bolts were loosen up again. Will come back after I try next time. I just put some more blue ones over the bolts yesterday.

There's nothing wrong the type that sets. I'm just lazy and like to make things easier if I can.

If it's metal-to-metal contact, a lock washer may help.

or if there's any thread left, how about just use a jam nut?

i still cant figure out wat an latch bolt is? any picts?
