installing side blades

Has anyone installed side blades (from fly1 if that matters) with just double sided tape? Or did you jack it up and put in little screws?

Thanks!

I did both.

Double Sided tape and some self tapping screws. About 6-7 each side, does the trick and very secure.

Yep-use both. And run the tape the whole length - not little pieces. My Evo-R's were kind of floppy until I did this. Also, I put some silicone on the ends of the screws when I put them in because you're basically screwing into a thin piece of plastic with nothing behind it.

it's already hard enough to see where the jack points are at stock height. with those blades it's going to be even harder to find. :icon17:

I know it's quite a while later but I'm thinking buying the carbon fiber side blades from Fly1 and I was wondering if you guys had any fitment issues at all.
Please let me know! Thanks.
