Nismo vs Amuse
2 Attachment(s)
As some of you know I've been looking for a new front end for my Z due to an accident I had recently. I want to get peoples opinions on which route to take. Im personally starting to favor the Nismo front end. What do you guys think?
|
Amuse to me is very unique , i would do amuse in a heartbeat
|
Personally I think Amuse is a little over the top. That being said, don't let us decide for you. Pick the one that YOU like! :tiphat:
|
In my opinion, Nismo looks clean and simple (more OEM'ish).. Amuse looks mean and aggressive.
|
I have a nismo and personally unless you have the whole kit it doesn't flow that well. Without some type of wing its going to look really weird. The amuse looks good even with just parts of the full kit. Im sure you've been looking but go look at the last posts in the powerhouse amuse thread.
|
Get the one you think looks best. Amuse is a bit "ricer-ish" for my tastes but then again, I'm not sure I'd put a NISMO bodykit on a non-NISMO car either. If it were me I'd go with something aftermarket that was a little more understated.
|
Will cost way more to do the Nismo. Unless insurance is paying for the conversion.
There are more costs to installing the Nismo bumper then just paint and labour. Search threads on Nismo conversions. |
Nismo or OEM. I wouldn't put an Amuse kit on my car if you gave it to me.
|
I do like both. However, I like the Amuse a little bit more; especially on black, red, silver..not so much the white.
|
Depends on what kind of look you're going for, Amuse looks more aggressive and ricey but I guess that's ok if you have forced induction to back it up

Amuse. But be ready to go all the way to the back to round it out. Can't have it just for the front.
|
NISMO will be less likely to have fitment issue.

i think the amuse makes the front of the z look even more like a wabbit. which i guess is not a bad thing.

I like the amuse but preferred the nismo (no bias at all). The nismo just looks so clean. IMO it is a heppy balance of aftermarket look but more mature like. The amuse is nice but seem less mature and more "look at me." If I had a base 370 and were looking for a aftermarket kit, I would get the stillen kit. It looks slick and fast.
|
I was in the same boat and went with the Nismo kit. Liked the fact that it was OEM and hopefully shouldn't require any work for it to fit. Front and skjrts are getting painted now. Didn't like either of the rear bumpers so keeping my spats and fujimura diffuser on my sport rear bumper.
|
I love both and both are great, but a NISMO kit should remain on a serialized NISMO edition 370Z.

But yea, I guess I do want everyone to look at me. Quote:

Go BIG or go home... AMUSE FTW..

As for the nothing special, to each there own. Most people that buy a 370 say that seeing a 370z on the road is in itself a rare thing. That just makes a Nismo even more so. :yum: Then there are those that bought a 40th anniversary. If I were to argue for the sake of arguing (I won't and don't because I can care less), there is even less "gained" for the $. i forgot to add that I don't think that you can really go wrong with either kits. The biggest thing is to buy from a brand/dealer that have good fitment and all will be gravy. |

U want to change your Z's appearance;) Go aftermarket  |
Nismo. The Amuse is too over the top for me.

As for additional hardware, all you need is the oem 2-poece pop rivets and 10mm bolts. Both of them are very cheap. $8 can get you 20 of them which is plenty. |

I like them both...I think the Amuse looks hot on a Nismo as well especially if it is properly filled with a large intercooler LOL. For me if you go Amuse, you need a proper wing to go with it. Go large or don't go at all!

Yes. This is true for Canada. I wanted the Nismo S-Tune front nose finisher and the dealership told me they could "no longer" get any Nismo parts shipped to Canada:shakes head: FN stupid |

Back on topic. I think the Nismo definitely looks cleaner. A little more streamline. That's my preference anyways. If you are going for a more aggressive look, I think Amuse (and Stillen) is the way to go. Both look fantastic though so you really can't go wrong. |

And I just google a bit. Those are like $6 for 20 of them. Really cheap. Lol. 370Z plastic rivets | eBay http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...-rivets-z.html |

Yeah, to say my dealership hasn't worked on a Nismo before is an understatement. I actually cringe when I see my appointment for an oil change getting close. :eekdance:
|
I would get a quote for the whole job just replacing with OE and then take the bumper and do it myself and keep the rest for mods that really count - in the seat of the pants.
|
...not that the Nismo is any different than other Z oil changes. My dealership is just retarded :D
