There are 4 types of drivers:
1. No flasher at all 2. To tell you they are coming over regardless of whether or not there's room 3. To tell you where they've been 4. Then there are those that actually use a flasher to indicate they need to get over and would appreciate you accommodating them

Ok, I admit I'd never heard of this before. Sounds like a neat toy.
But it makes me annoyed to read that page, like it's too hard to use a turn signal. (That should be directed at roughly 40% of other drivers who are too important/busy to use a turn signal, really.) I also admit. I'm the dork who signals lane changes when there isn't a car in sight or when I'm driving through an empty parking lot. I guess I drive in a way that mitigates the risk of people I'm NOT actually seeing or don't know are there. Blindspots, people who race up too quick, pedestrians in the dark, the person who might have otherwise turned into me up ahead, or just me missing something (as rare as that is). Or for the bored cop up ahead who decides I need to be pulled over for making a manuever without proper signaling. |

Well I'm glad I didn't need anyone to actually provide input of some value.

This is the dumbest thing. Why can't people drive properly? You can't seriously be too busy to drive properly! If you can't manage to use it properly then you shouldn't be driving.
I once had a co worker that I chewed out because I was following him to lunch and he never used his turn signals once and his reasoning was because he was "on the phone"!!!!! I wanted to beat his *** there and curb stomp his face. Because of him not using his indicators he crammed his way between cars a couple times during the drive causing the car behind him to slam on his brakes rather than showing the surrounding vehicles his intentions. At least, you, being interested in this device shows us that you want to put some effort into driving properly.

But seriously, does it even save time vs. a normal indicator?

I use the turn signal now, where is this assumption coming from that I don't use a turn signal coming from? Technically I want to reduce the effort I'm putting in to driving properly.
