Default Evo-R fog light

Hi! Just a quick question about how I need to run the 3rd light wires to the factory wires:

I want the F-1 style flashing light, so it blinks for a while when brake is applied the goes full red after a few seconds.

I did receive the wires instructions but I'm a bit confused.

So the

white on the green

the red on red

black on black

would it work?

Thanks for the help!

If you want it to go solid after a few seconds, you are going to need a relay. Search Kahtec on here and you should find exactly what you are looking for.

I still wonder if I should've done the blinking with the reverse though since as stated earlier. I'm sure the blinking while on the brake could be annoying to drivers behind lol.

According to theZstore.com, this is how the new Evo-R would work:

Important Update:
The manufacturer has altered the function of the brake-light operation. It no longer functions exactly as the text states, and video shows, below. Now, when the light is wired so that it flashes when the brake is applied, it will only flash for 3 seconds of braking. When you hold the brake pedal down for longer than 3 seconds, it will change to a continuous (non-flashing/solid) brake light. Any time the brake pedal is depressed for less than 3 seconds at a time, the light will flash as shown below.

So i'm just wondering how to wire them.

Ahhh it appears they have switched things up. Post a picture of the leads on your third brake light and I will walk you through it..

The install instructions they sent are correct assuming you have the new version of third brake light. Just tap into the wires going in to your taillight. You can also tap the power and ground (red and black) at the third brake light as it is easier to get to.

Yes.
I have the same fog light
When you turn the light on, the fog light will turn on.
If you apply the brakes, the fog light will blink for 3 seconds, them steady like your brake lights.if the light are off the fog light will be off also, but will blink when you brake.

Here is video of how the new version works. Connect to white line power it will blink fast 3 times then to full light up. If connect to red wire LED lights up all the way. Here is a video clip:

BTW this is only for red lenses version. Smoked version is still same.

How long ago was this change made? And how would I know which one I have?
I bought mine a while ago and have not installed it yet.
