A noob question - cosmetic styling
 

I have seen a few pictures of Z's and a certain cosmetic sticks out to me (as in I love the look).

It is the black panel strip thing that goes where your side Z flasher is on the front fenders.

What is that? Is that wrapping?

I BELIEVE you're talking about the while fender, google "370Z Carbon Signal V1 fenders", try "V2" as well

That search does show what I am kind of explaining.

However, I swear I saw a Z on these forums today (cant find it now of course) where the black strip was not part of a body kit... or at least it did not seem like it was..

I will continue to hunt for the picture.

I really thought it was some kind of sticker or wrap that went over the side flasher ..

It is not a wrap. It is a fender replacement from either Carbon Signal or AeroJacket. You can get all metal from CS or either all CF or FRP with CF inserts from AJ. There are others but these two are the most popular and reasonably priced. There are JDM fenders with different designs but will cost you.
