When I firstt put the gen 3 in I left all that in place. You can get it in but, your filters get deformed slightly and it makes the tubes / filter no fit like they should. Realy the flat portion of the air deflector is fine it is that angled 90 that attaches to the underside of the hood latch structure that is the biggest interference. I think I will take it off and just fab a flat sheet of aluminium or CF and leave the 90, s out. I, ll keep an eye out for any cooling issues and re access from there.
