Center Bezel
Hey guys, have any of you guys wrap the center bezel with carbon fiber wrap? I've tried it coupe of times but couldn't get the rounded areas flat always wrinkled up even using heat gun and knife. I want to wrap this for my double din I'm about to install on my Touring. And bought the bezel from eBay for $35 shipped. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/01/emu5ehej.jpg

yah, check my albums page.
ive done it in one piece, but unless you use primer (adhesion promotor) the dinoc will lift around the raised area around the dials after a long hot day in the sun. my current piece is in 4 pieces. base piece, 3 rings. no issue with lifting. :) |

I couldn't even get the CF wrap like that. Especially around the climate control rounded areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oh and where did you order your CF wrap at? I got some off metrorestyling.com
But yeah I couldn't even get the wrap to stay like yours in the rounded areas. I even use heat gun. Wrap looks great too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
hummmm.... i just went about wrapping it the way i usually do with a heatgun.... you will need to know the wrap's characteristics pretty well in order to do that though. same goes for the center console 3 sw trim. that has a lot of odd curves.
i use standard DiNoc CA-421. i bought mine a while back from ebay stores. as long as it's the same CA-421 i have no issue. |

Ohh ok. So off topic. But i tried to install my kenwood dnx9990hd head unit and it seems like I would need 3 wiring harnesses to hook it up. I only got one harness and antenna adapter got it to power up but no sound. I have 13' touring w/ sport package and Bose. No navi http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/y2e9ugub.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
