cheap gas sound

A friend of mine who is a mechanic is telling me it could be the oil that thins out to quick when it heats up which is causing the noise

did you change the oil recently or is it the original oil from delivery...

had the oil changed at 1000 miles at the dealer and now i got 2500 miles. well you never know if the dealer schemed me at that. Now on i change my own oil
