Ings+1 rep lip *w/pics*
Got this lip installed about 2 months ago, and let me tell you how it is so far. I've been only scraping the lip going down parking garages in the downtown area, but I'm sure constant scraping will wear out and eventually grind down the lip. Its made of fiberglass so a decent hit on it will probably break it..
I had to raise the car up a quarter inch so I don't do any further damage. If you're on aftermarket springs or on stock height, this shouldn't be a problem. Install was easy - perfect fitment. The lip is held pretty using 6 screws. here are the pics: It's hard to see the lip from far away. I think if you paint it gloss black it would look better. One more thing. I bought the lip from a warehouse in Canada.. I forget what the website is called, but they sent me a broken lip the first time. I called about it and they sent me another one. Unfortunately, this too was broken during shipping so they ended up sending me another one. On the THIRD time, even with the heavy bubble wrapping, the lip was still broken. I kept it anyways and had a friend work on it - reinforcing it with more fiberglass, paint overlay, etc. It ended up looking brand new. So, i have 2 of these lips now just sitting in my garage.. and if anybody is interested in fixing up the lip or have someone else fix it, i will be posting a section on the northwest threads if you want to come by and look at it. |

Not hard to make aluminum skid plates to prolong the life of your lip.

Probably was NEXTMOD, I think they are the only ones sellling the replica INGS+1
I had it also. Loved it. But then it flew off on the highway when I hit about 220km lol. I don't think I had it screwed in the best, my bad. I would like the authentic CF version but seems the last few out the factory from Japan had major defects

its Nextmod . I just ordered one and rcieved it within a 2 weeks. I have a new bumber for my 2010 and will have the lip installed at a buds shop over the winter. I want to also put a new EVO R CF fand on and I see you did that. Did you have to cut it to make it fit with the lip?

if you have the sport front air deflector you will need to cut about an inch or so off the bottom of the evo-r fang.
but if you run the ings or that fake thing you wont be running the sport deflector anyway, so no need to cut anything. |
