how to drill/screw into carbon fiber pieces?

dealers like using those tapping screws that has a bit on the tip.

looks like this. these you dont need to make holes.

Ah Hah, so as long as screws have some sort of sharpness on the tips, I do not need to make pre-hole thank you NissanFan for the detail description and a picture of tapping screws
more likely I'll be using this type of screws that have very pointy tips
