Since I hadn't put a clear bra on my Z, the hood looked like crap from rock chips. I seriously thought about putting a bra on it as I was not going to repaint it. I traded the Z in so it all became a mute point but it was considered. I personally do not care much for them but they do serve a purpose.

Hi, James,

Did the vendor quote you an estimated price?

I recently brought a 2010 pearl white Roadster with a bordeaux (wine) colored top. I would love to match the vinyl bra with the bordeaux-colored top, as opposed to matching it to the body color.

Yeah, be sure to keep us informed!

Thank you,

spryor

I'll always put clear bras on my new cars. I put them both on my Z and WRX, bought my Si back in 2007 new as well and there is so much touchup paint on it it looked worse then leaving the chips.

You won't regret it. Make sure your installer custom cuts the clear bra and not use pre-cut stuff. Precut stuff has more gaps than custom cutters

That works...............if you do it right when you buy the car and its new or has good paint on the front. Once you have the chips you either respray then clear bra, or do a bra or do nothing and just deal with it.

speed lingerie bra update!

Richard from speed lingerie car bra contacted me and they are trying to find a 2013 370z coupe they can measure to custom make one. They are located near San Jose CA. Their number is 650-964-2584 for anyone who has a Z that lives near there or would like to speak with them. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST!

Front bra

I received an e-mail from Richard at Speed Lingerie today and this is what he said. I told him I think there might be a market if advertised.

trackster22:
We’d love to do it for you guys. I wish one of you was local. The two things needed to make it happen are a car in our shop for 4 days and orders.
Custom one-off patterns start at $1200. If we get (6) orders booked for the same year and model, we can do this one at $699. At (12) we can get to $599.

Hope this helps keep the discussion going.

Love my clear bra, after long drives there is so much stuff on it and it wipes right off. Whether or not it would have chipped the paint I do not know but I am certainly happy that I can drive around without having to be paranoid about rock chips in the front bumper.

Hi, Trackster22,

I appreciate the update, but this is a mighty expensive bra cover.
