Shift light color change?

has anyone attempted to change the blinking shift light color? maybe replace it with a brighter LED. Im thinking blue would be a cool color.

Are the laws in FL okay with a blue blinker?

That thing annoys me, I set it high and rarely see it now.
A dimmer light would be what I would want.
While I teach my daughters to drive it, I will set it low so they will no when to shift though.

You rarely see it? Low shift point? Teaching your daughters to drive it?

Im just interest in getting the light a crisp blue. think it would look a lil more exotic for the car.

I think I remember seeing a DIY on this site where someone replaced all the LEDs in the dash. IIRC, the LEDs are SMD (or similar) devices and replacing them is not for the faint of heart.
