Mine is just a straight black co-polymer knob. The description Chris had me put in the paypal order comments was: 370Z Black Copolymer Piston, Integrated lip, Brass Insert, Knurled, 6MT Engraving (Red)

I would contact him ahead of time if you have any additional questions, also keep in mind the different finishes only apply to the steel if you get one that has steel.

Did he charge you the price of the hybrid knob or the stainless steel knob?

I don't remember the stainless price off hand but mine was considerably less than the hybrid.

Wow... I love that. Thanks for the review. I've been struggling to find a shift knob with everything I want. Proper fit, not too hot/cold, shift pattern engraved, and knurled grip. I really like the look of that. Really like the hybrid one too. Your pictures really helped. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the reply! I sent them an email asking about it. Hoping to get something similar to your set up.

A shift knob was always a difficult choice for me until I was introduced to the stuff that Chris at Lathe Werks makes....now my searches begin and end in the same place.

Phantom, you inspired me, just bought the same knob with your options (knurled, shift pattern) but in the original stainless steel. Wanted the color, and am thinking I will like the additional weight.

I will post a picture when it is installed in a week or so.

As you can see this is a 1 piece that comes with the collar and everything so that it installs perfectly and looks great.

This is the link to the page for the 370z if you want to order one for yourself and there's tons of options: http://lathewerks.com/shop/index.php?cPath=30_50

This is a all Black Copolymer Knob with knurled edges, 6MT engraving with red paint, and a weighted brass insert:

Since I'm sure someone will probably ask...I used a Husky strap wrench from Home Depot and regular vice grips to remove the stock knob and it was no problem at all, as I suspected.

Looks good, ordered my Lathe Works knob within the first week of purchasing my Z......

Can someone please post a picture grabbing this knob? 1.5 inch in diameter seems a little bit too small (what she said lol)
