you sure? that AT is torque converter based. it's not an electronic clutch like real modern AT's on sport cars.

Find me a person (not including the Stig) that shifts faster, and I'll switch.

Honestly I don't know the actual weight. I'm sure you could ask Chris on the different weights and he'd be able to tell you.

site says "270 grams weight for a solid feel"

for reference:
  • tommy kaira knob - 510 grams
  • password jdm balanced shift knob - 170 grams
  • stock knob - ??? its about 2x heavier than the password jdm one

i like the look of this knob. if it was as heavy as the tommy kaira id be in for one!

The stainless steel piston knob is for you then. Weighs 526 grams and is the cheapest option l. Looks pretty awesome with the textured finish or the leather wrap.

i saw that, but i like the black copolymer! id imagine it doesnt heat up and freeze like a metal knob does

The black co-polymer is amazing in terms of how hot/cold it gets. It never gets too hot/cold to hold onto(even when baking all day in the hot sun) and this was why I requested the one I did even though Chris didn't have it listed on his site.

I would definitely prefer it to be heavier but at the end of the day it's a very worthy trade-off for something that looks so damn good yet is so functional. Also...IMO....having used the tommy kaira knob on a 370z and now the one here in this thread...I feel very little difference despite the significant weight difference between the two. The co-polymer feels as solid as a steel knob does.
