Default 2009 370 Z rear spoiler

I ordered a Nissmo spoiler from the dealer. He assured me that it was a Nissmo product. $850 plus tax got me a spoiler pre-painted the color of my car. The unit also came with heavier duty trunk lift shocks. Upon futher inspection, I found that it was not the Nissmo spoiler I was expecting. It was much smaller in height then the one attached the the Nissmo on the show room floor. Disappointed, I reluctantly requested to have it installed. Two hours later the service department calls me and says they can not install this spoiler. The spoiler requires new holes to be drilled in the rear hatch. That is not so much the problem. The problem is that the new spoiler will not cover existing holes used to secure the origional spoiler. So the dealer says that I need a body shop to accomplish this retrofit. My next stop is the best body shop in the area. The owner come out with a magnet and inspects the car. He finds and shows me that the hatch lid and the hood are fabricated using either aluminium or some composit material. He then tells me that welding aluminium is a job that requires a lot of heat and will likely warp the surrounding metal, if it is metal. He says he would not touch it. He recomends I return the spoiler and not modify the car. At this point, I do not know what to do. Help???? Do I return the spoiler? How do I find the "True" Nissmo unit? Will it fit my trunk lid? Will I need to drill more holes? Will the OEM holes be covered? Should I wate till I can find trunk lid and spoiler in junk yard????

Anybody with expirence please respond.
