Lip/Bumper = useable down-force?
So, which lip or bumper do you think would provide the most amount of useable down-force? If there are any hard facts of comparison please share! I am interested in getting a lip or bumper but i want to gain some down-force from it. Any inputs will help.

No and no. The Amuse makes... 200 (?) Lbs of downforce, but there is no real evidence. The Nismo kit makes 140 lbs, but not much info to support that besides Autech saying it does.
Best of luck figuring out which lip gives you better front end grip

Nismo s-tune kit front lip does..as well as sides and rear spats. Couldn't tell ya the amount, but can confirm that has proven downforce. What I love about them is they are oem nissan fit, templates included, painted to match and the best part they each have bolts and 3m for attachment points..so you can ensure they won't just fall off like other cheaper lips...

i think eating more charburgers will give the car more down force than any little lip/splitter out there for street use.
unless going for the look, just keep the sport front end with the air deflector. |

Anything that is angled up in the rear is going have down force, simple physics.
How much is measurable by the speed, angle of deflection and surface area. You might be surprised at how much force there is at 70 miles per hour on a small area. Stick your hand out the window and play dolphin. Been a while, but it isn't rocket science to figure out how much and at specified speeds. |

Yeah don't even worry about front "downforce" with the stock or aftermarket cosmetic pieces. All that can really be said for those is that the stock sport front-spoiler skirt (and the Nismo setup) are "zero lift", so they at least block off upforce
To get real downforce, you really need a setup like mentioned in the earlier link to Megan's journal, where you build little frame rails that screw under the car where the undertray does and build a huge solid platform. I haven't heard of or seen any ready-made commercial options of that nature for our car (replacing the undertray basically), although they wouldn't be that hard to make, just no real market for it. |

^agreed. Anything held on by tape is useless even the stillen splitter held on by tape. It has to be mounted to the frame or the trunk lid since it" pushes down on the frame. APR makes a universal splitter you just send them an outline of your bumper and they cut it out of CF. The nismo kit (not s-tune) is the only kit that was "wind tunnel tested". I am making my own rear diffuser and splitter and doing my own tests to see if it ACCTUALLY creates downforce if not then I will **** can it. I am a function over form kind of person though. My dream is to have an aero motions dynamic wing but I don't have that kind of scrilla hangin around.
