Question Taillights Trippin' - Causing Engine Chug

Yeah - You read it right.

I took off the taillights yesterday from the car and painted them with VHT Nightshades. I had matte black plasti- dip on there.

Anyways, I installed them back on the car. But didn't realize til' I had everything back installed on the car that the right turn signal wasn't working properly. The entire taillight was blinking instead of just the upper reverse light portion. Also, the hazard lights would blink when I put the right hand turn signal on. Left is perfectly fine, no hazards.

Is this a sign that one of the bulbs is bad? I connected the harness just like ive done 10 times.. Im thinking its the cars backup plan if the bulb goes out.

It was freezing and I didn't have enough light or time to get the plastic panels all off again to inspect the bulbs..

On top of the weird blinking, its literally effecting my engine. When I turn right, the engine bogs out and chugs three or four times before accelerating normally. I thought I was out of gas, but its a full tank. Even when I drive in a straight line and change lanes to the right lane, it chugs the second i put the turn signal on.

Anyone have any insight on this?
Any help is appreciated

I searched, found nothing on this issue. Could be as simple as unplugging and plugging back in again. Maybe wires are switched? Why would this effect my engine?
