Passenger window issue
After I installed door speakers, my passenger window has failed to index (not going down or up when I open or close the door). I had the dealership look into this issue, so far they have tried the window reset (hold up for four seconds down for another four seconds), reset the ECU and even ordered another window motor (they said that the programing in the previous may have been bad) and install it. So far there hasn't been any luck. Help!

i doubt it's the motor. the motor isn't smart enough to know when to index or when to roll down/up.
it's the program. something's wrong with the programming. is the yoke of the speaker hitting the glass or something preventing proper window reset? |

Not at all, it does that with the speaker out and the door panel off.
The car also reads the door being opened or closed so the door switch is working.

It sounds like the switch module is not getting the signals from the BCM. Check the wiring from the switch module to the BCM. See PWC section of FSM for more info.

Doubt this is your issue...
But I couldn't get my passenger window up for the longest time one day after I sound deadened the doors. Anyways, I found that the door has to be closed in order for you to reset the window control to go up and down automatically. I was standing with the door open, holding the controls all the way down for 10 seconds, then vice versa and couldn't figure it out. Gotta be inside the car with the door closed in order to reset windows. Thats probably in the manual somewhere.. Good luck..

I tried that before I took it to the dealer, and the dealer tried the same thing. Still wasn't working. I also did a stereo swap when I did the door speakers. All the connections are fine. This is pissing me off to no end.

According to the FSM, the door switches are connected to the BCM which passes the signal to the switch modules via the "power window serial link" so the module can crack/seal the window when opening/closing the door. If the BCM is seeing the door open switch as you say, then it has to be a loss of communication between the BCM and switch module. Only three things I can see that would cause loss of comm: bad BCM, bad switch module, or bad wiring. If you are sure the signal wiring is good, check for a bad ground.

have you tried putting the stock speakers back on to see if the window would roll up/down? maybe you switched positive and negative around and somehow made the window not rolled up and down. sounds stupid but u never know lol

never tried that, but the window does roll up and down just doesn't roll down that 1/4" open you open/close the door so that is will clear the frame.
