New Varis Complete Front Bumper Coming

Hope this is not a repost. Hard to keep up with these things.

But this is the new Varis full front bumper to be displayed at the 2014 TAS.

I kind of agree with you at first looking at it.

After a minute I come to the conclusion that its not that bad...

- First, I think they are making it to keep the new DRL from the 2013+ I believe.
- Second, the vent beside it could be use for some kind of venting to the oil cooler setup which could be on both side , (engine/tranny....)
- Third, the closed next vent style could be opened up to some brake duct ?
- Fourth, the vent hole in the upper middle location of the bumper could be use for the CAI setup or RAM AIR type air box (similar to what I wanted to do last year !
-Fifth, the main front opening for the radiator, ofcourse...

there seem to have a splitter type of lower bumper which also add some effectiveness for the front downforce...

enkei2k 12-16-2013 10:04 PM

I kinda like it, but that's because I like the fact that there's more full bumper kits available instead of just lips.

If they make a 2009-2012 one with the DRL hole filled as an alternative, I may be interested.

DEpointfive0 12-16-2013 10:07 PM

Don't need anything Varis... They can leave the busy Nismo kits at the door

djtodd 12-16-2013 10:22 PM

How about someone (other than stillen) make real track oriented front (with integrated duct inlets, placement for real aero, etc) pwetty pweeze?

GaleForce 12-16-2013 10:27 PM

Yep, repost.

New front, rear, wide body front fenders...

They are showing wide body fenders in the link I posted above too.

Is this only a wide body ?

Amuse370z 12-19-2013 10:48 AM

The fenders are great imo.

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps3e714a3f.jpg

I hope they're just making the front as wide as the rear, I think the rear is plenty wide enough and I don't want to cut any body panels or have exposed rivets... But that part's unlikely, all their widebody kits require major modifications to the body.

Imagine a Varis widebody Amuse :happydance:

god no, those are horrible to me. why are there random design lines, and that little ledge between the widebody fender and the rest of the quarter panel? who thought that was a good idea? it looks excessive, poorly thought out, and useless. also, it flies right in the face of the 'organic' design of the 370Z. it's curvy, not a damn box.

They typically have a cover for the fenders.

no wide and ugly :icon17:

Eclipz 12-19-2013 12:22 PM

The front of the Varis does look a little busy, but I'm sure the final product will look much better than the clay models we see now.

That ledge between the front fender and the door you mean? They don't have a rear fender design yet as far as I know.

That piece might have an opening to create a "blister fender" type design. It helps vent air trapped inside the wheel wells I believe.

Kind of like this:

FairladyZ10PG 12-20-2013 07:57 PM

Can't wait to see the final product. I'm a huge fan of Varis widebody kits so far.

Z-Girl 12 12-20-2013 08:04 PM

woah

Riptide67 12-21-2013 11:03 AM

Well it is good to see more options available, even if they are super busy. I'm sure eventually someone will make a rep of this Nismo-like rep.
