Plasti-dip question for y'all...
Ok so I decided to Plasti-dip some of car but I had a few questions first.
How many cans of plasti-dip would I need to plasti-dip my front lip area below the license plate and the rear valence/diffuser (the part of the bumper that's around the tailpipes and fog lamp, idk what it's called)? I know I'm suppose to do 3-4 coats but how many cans do I need? What brand do y'all recommend? I can buy the plasti-dip at Home Depot right? Thanks! |
1 can is more than enough to do the rear valence but since you also want to do the front lip I'd get 2 cans just in case. More is better with Plasti Dip in my experiences.
It's made by Peformix. All the Home Depots I have been to carry Plasti Dip. Good luck! |
The more coats the better. More "durable" plus if you ever plan to take it off, that makes it extrememly easy on you. 3-4 coats should be good.

I did my roof an hatch with about 4 coats, about 4cans

Hmmmmmm never thought about doing the roof...that would pretty cool....

Will the heat from the tail pipes make the plasti-dip come off? I'm thinking about doing the mirrors too. What do y'all think?

Thanks guys gonna plasti-dip next week

My pipes are dipped (well my whole car), no problems with it. Plasti dip can get super hot or super cold and still be ok.

i am very intrigued by the idea of plasti dip and want to go for whole dip, but are also afraid of that the paint will look like its has been plasti-canned.
