The second knob is just too funny. For whoever gets it because it feels good has problems. lol
Nonetheless, looks good, quality wise!

Will that discolor (patina) over time?

The polished and machined knobs will be sealed so no, the powder coated knobs of course wont, and right now we are having a hell of a time with the rubber coating, it doesn't want to stick to this alloy very well, so it may not be doable, the fall back to the rubber coating will be offering it wrapped in a leather or something.
Also I could leave it uncoated if you want it to patena? Last edited by Matt@GTM; 02-11-2014 at 08:49 PM. |

the knobs in the photos aren't done, we have just been playing with the finishes, the logo will be engraved on the top and it will ship with a sticker I've drawn up with the Z shift pattern on it
something like that but different |

I will be running these over to the upholstery shop tomorrow to look into the covering option because the rubber coating really isn't going to work out, it just isn't durable enough on this material. I tested one out and put it through some abuse and the rubber coating is coming detached from the knob. hopefully I will have good news soon on the upholstery option. The sticker design was sent to the printers yesterday so i still haven't heard back on it yet. On the plus side all the knobs are finished machined now and sitting on a shelf so just tying up the loose ends before we get going on this.
