Default GTM High MASS Shift knob poll

Hi, my name is Matt and I am the CNC Machinist/Programmer here at GTM and these are the new shift knobs we are now making. The advantage we have by specializing in these cars means that all of these knobs have been designed to replicate OEM fitment from the size of the threads, to the internal chamfers in the mounting hole, and even the diameter of the top of the factory shift boot, to provide superior fitment to any other aftermarket knob out there. The knobs will be made from a special heavy metal alloy that is over 7% more dense than stainless steel. The list of available finishes are being put together now, once it is done we will begin selling these. There will be an engraved GTM logo on the top of the knob, or we are also working on getting a 6 speed shift pattern decal made. Pricing will come when we release the list of available finishes.

KNOB 1 534g

KNOB 2 554g

I would be interested in something similar to the shape of the Forged shift knob with a burnt Ti finish or a black-anodized looking finish.

I personally don’t like any of them. I prefer the sphere look (ball).

I see a lot of red and black knobs but I think it would be cool to color match it with the stock colors and have the same gloss finish.

Any options that's asymetrical or less available in the market? Even the OE knob is only symmetric in one direction. I wouldn't mind something a bit more ergonomic.

I love the look of number 9, reminds me of the TK knob.....but really it is all about feel.

I loved my PWJDM until I got a TWM knob. The weight is what makes the knob.

I have looked at it and all i can say is maybe. If i do make a knob for the automatics I will start another thread for it.

Also this is a project I am doing in my free time outside normal company work, I own a 370 and because i want a knob for my car, and wasn't satisfied with current offerings, I decided to go ahead and do this and offer it to you guys as well. I will work on adding a couple of designs per suggestions, I'll try to update later tonight after i get home.

Also all knobs will have the factory H pattern engraved on the top

Well you got a purchase for an auto right here, and I am confident others would follow suit.

To be honest none of the designs are revolutionary or new. Tomei, NISMO and Dewla Designs are just a few of companies I know already making 90% of these designs.

The problem with ALL of them is that none match the interior of the 370Z AT ALL.

I know a lot of these are similar to ones on the market, what i wanted to do with them though is offer them in a heavy knob with oem fitment. I dimensioned them from the 370z factory knob and shifter shaft, the bottoms of the knobs are designed to be the same size as the factory shift boot where most aftermarket knobs are much smaller. This is why the bottom of every knob i drew is the exact same size, I can guarantee they will fit just like the OEM knob. As for the requests for asymmetrical knobs I want to stay away from them as a cost standpoint since they would cost quite a lot more to manufacture, and I am trying to keep these affordable and in house so there will be a quick turnaround. An asymmetrical knob would need to get cast to keep it affordable but that would add significantly to the time.
