for your plastics that have some texture on the surface, you can also try a white vinegar to distilled water mix (70:30) in a spray bottle and keep misting it so it's wet. it will take time to dissolve, but it can be done that way too.

then wash your car.

If it's a hard water stain, mix 1:1 ratio of water&vinegar, soak it with papertowel and wipe! Because Vinegar is a acidic base, it'll dissolve mineral deposit.

This trick will definitely come in handy during the scorching hot summer and hardwater (from sprinklers) get on your paint.

i mentioned 70:30 for a reason. and it needs to sit on the stain for some time to dissolve the calcium deposit. wiping with papertowel is mostly the coarseness of the towel, not so much the vinegar.
