I tell you, I have spray painted a car, and I have taken it off with lacquer thinner. Multiple times, granted, on the same car (2007 Toyota PryUs) with no ill effects.

Most spray paint doesn't have the hardener or clear coat that automotive paint does

Thanks DE. If the clay bar doesn't work I'll try the lacquer thinner or maybe pay someone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the clay bar will do the trick though!!
