Lacquer thinner is ok to use more like same as silicone remover, but if you read my post I suggested take it to a deatailer if OP doesn't know what he is doing. Anything either thinner, clay, compound polish if not done in right amount/way will damage the paint, unfortunately Nissan has one of the worst paints in the market

If you use lacquer thinner, please post pictures. UNtil I see physical proof otherwise, there is no way I would put lacquer thinner on a car. Paint thinner/mineral spirits is a whole different story. That may be your best bet.

https://detailersdomain.com/NanoSkin...nch_p_709.html I've replaced my claybars with this and been really happy with the results. I've never tried to remove paint this thick, but it works great on overspray. 1/4 of the time and much easier on your arm - assuming you have a rotary or orbital buffer to attach it to. |

I ended up using some mineral spirits last night. I got all of the paint off but it looks like there's definitely some scuff marks that I'm hoping a polish will take care of. That will have to wait until the spring though.
Edit: I'll take some pics this weekend when I'm able to get some in the sun.

Polish should take care of the scuffs! Glad you got it fixed OP! Hope the vandal is dead in a sewer somewhere!
