Several reasons:

Keep dirt, water, and road debris off the engine...

Keep air flowing under the car to help "suck" it to the road a bit better and have less under-turbulence.

Keep it on. Nissan put it there for a reason.

As previously mentioned, it keeps you engine bay clean, but also helps to guide air under the car thus giving the car added downforce, increases fuel economy, and also helps to cool the engine bay. I would strongly advise you keep it on the car

What is an underglow...

I hope it isn't one of those Disco lights under the car, that is usually found underneath a Caprice classic or a 78 Cadillac wearing a set of bicycle wheels and spinners found at a used hub cap shop???

underglows are hated on because a lot of people dont make em look good. i on the other hand have a good color scheme taste and, underglows can make a car look really good. i dont think people should make sarcastic and negative feedback on em unless it truely looks crappy. i mean a lot of people but ugly *** rims which is way worse than underglows.

jst try ta be open minded ta people who want underglows on their cars.

thanks to those who answered my question about the undershield.
