Black Fuel/Temp Overlay

Al at Black Cat did me good! Direct overlay. Looks factory good. $35 + $7 shipping. No other viable options.

Looks very clean

I have an overlay from Simota (a fellow forum member here) installed. His weren't near as expensive certainly, but they aren't as clean on the install. I did a pretty thorough job lining it up, but it just doesn't line up perfect everywhere. Its fine for me though, and it looks much better than the original silver. I'm just pissed the newer models actually have a black face now instead of silver.

Just call or email these guys asking for what you want. They quoted me the same price about a month back.

Same here. Mine's about 99% perfect, but it's just slightly cockeyed. All installer error. It was hot in the garage that day and I got to the point of "**** it, it's close enough."

Bingo!

Very clean, just hella expensive lol.

866-943-8641. Al is the owner. And no, I wouldn't bother with any kind of paint. It looks like it belongs there! (About 95% perfect).

Just depends on what you need. For me gauge, antenna and non-Florida State University license plate unacceptable. Acceptible but still fixable, non-Plasti-coated "fangs." Then I'm good to go for the next 3-4 years!

If nothing else, it proves that Nissan does listen to its owners occasionally.

Blackcat Custom - Something I've been trying to tell the community for the past couple of years, and Ron was one of the only ones who modded his as well. I actually sent Alex the gauge bezel, and it took him a few months to figure out a tooling method that would work. I even went as far as spray painting my gauge face black as well.

but digi- you had to do surgery on yours to make it work, no?

i think danalbert's is just a overlay on top of the factory fuel guage? just position and press on.

I would have done Digi & Ron's stuff if I had to, but being a neophyte, when it comes to taking things a part on our cars-NO THANKS! BTW, their's are about 5% better in my opinion, but with A LOT more work!

Ron 10-29-2013 04:54 PM

I love taking stuff apart and putting it back together lol.. The extra work was worth it, I love mine!
