Best way to clean cloth interior?
I haven't had a car with cloth seats in over 15 years. First world problem I know... But have a new Z with clothe interior..black
Should I scotch guard it? Do nothing? Clean as needed with a brush? What type if brush etc I've noticed that after driving it only a few weeks there is some white on the door from where I push it open with my elbow. Must be skin cells. It brushes off wih my hand easy but I don't want to get the oils from my hands on the fabric. Thx |
The 'skin dust' on the doors I get off with a shop-vac. Actually most things come off with a strong vacuum. Just be careful that the hose attachment on your vacuum is smooth. If it is scraped up (like my old shop-vac) it could snag the cloth as you drag it across the skin cell repository. Just put masking tape on the edge to make it smooth if needed.
For anything that the vacuum doesn't get out, I use foaming Resolve, let it sit for a while then wipe clean. There are special car fabric cleaners, but IMO they don't work any better than Resolve |
