Best and worst custom racing seats.

Is there a place local to you to sit in some of these seats? I'd go figure out what fits you best before getting too far into the color issue.

I've had issues fitting into seats the size charts say should be a good fit. My Brides were too tight in the shoulders, and the Sparco I had was too tight across the hips. Both would fit me perfectly based on the charts online.

Not sure. I'm just thinking about next year's projects. I'm going to Zdays and some track events in the spring so hopefully I can find some seats to try.

I'd do that first. Both times I've bought seats that "fit" and they just never felt right for long periods of time. Luckily they were both secondhand and didn't cost me much. The OMPs I've got in my track car fit tight, but it's not a DD so I don't care. They're fixed back with the wings, so there's no chance of them working in traffic.

I just sat in both of these. The cheaper, more padded Forza was way better for my back. The fx1 was hard as a rock. Kinda disappointing because the fx1 look much better. I just found the Forza for $206-239 shipped. Pretty sure I'm buying one.

Have you considered aluminum racing seats like Kirkey or Ultra Shield? They are cheap and really good for saving gas. After about 30 minutes your back and posterior will hurt so much you will just park your Z.

Are there FIA approved adjustable seats? AFAIK the only seats that are FIA approved are fixed back.

here's another picture, I have both seats: recaro will make u pretty much anything you want with alcantara mid seat area etc, stitching etc, or just take it to a shop (prob cheaper).

Second, what harness are you using and what did you attach it to? Looks like they are the screw on type. How comfortable is the harness/seat for DD?
