Dent question
I have no idea how this happened, but I just noticed 2 small dents in the plastic panel beneath the door sill. If it was metal it would be easy to pound out. Is there any way to do something similar on plastic? Pisses me off because I don't know how it happened. It would be impossible to have been hit by another car without damaging the door above. About the only thing I can think of is I do go down a street from time to time that has large speed bumps. Maybe the car bottomed out there and it twisted the plastic panel. I have no clue.

Plastic? Door sill?
Are you talking about the side skirt? Have you had tires put on? And you CAN try warming it up, to release the dent

Yeah, it's the side skirt. Couldn't think of the proper term. I did have a nail in my rear tire repaired, but this dent is behind the front wheel. I thought about a jack doing it, but I have no idea why they would put it right behind the front tire when they knew the concern was on the rear. Unfortunately, my phone was left at my girlfriend's so no pic. Is heating it up something I could do myself with a heat gun or should it be left to a professional? I wish I would have noticed sooner...it has been a couple weeks since I was at the tire place....I'm sure they would just deny it.

you can PDR plastic pieces, but if the bend is sharp (like from that lift above) there's only limited amount of dent removal you can do with PDR. might be best to get it spot bondo'ed and painted, or just get new rockers entirely. |

It's the proper way to do it - they just need to have enough spacers on the ends of the arms to make sure they clear. I've got side blades and they always have to put an extra donut on the arms for them to clear.
