location of headlight fuses

can anyone post a picture of where the headlight fuses are supposed to be? Ive been looking for an hour but i cant find it. my z is a 2012 if that makes a difference.

One of the headlights went out recently so Im hoping to fix it before a ticket.

Thanks guys!

i dont have a picture right now, but theres a fuse box under the hood located near the battery that you can check. If its not there, theres another fuse box under the hood near the front of the car on the drivers side.

Have you verified it's NOT the headlight bulb itself?

Per 2009 FSM, EXL-68: Fuses 54-57 in the IPDM-ER (next to battery).

Trips, I had heard that HIDs are notorious for blowing ballasts. Is that still true, or has there been progress made in that department. This is my first car with HIDs and I'm still learning.

I've had several cars with HIDs and never had a problem with a ballast. Maybe whoever told you that was talking about the crappy retrofit kits?

It's possible. The guy that told me that has a 911 with HIDs and a Scion xbox that he put HIDs in. I don't know if the 911 came with HIDs or they were added later.... :ugh2:

Chuck33079 09-24-2013 12:03 PM

911s have had them for a while. If I had to guess, he was talking about the crappy retrofit on the Scion.

Next to the battery...have fun getting access to it. Real PITA. Of course the fuses for my heated seats and convertible top are easy to access.....

Well it's good that they did. I took out the fuse box when I blew my taillight fuse. Had to take off a couple of the plastic trim pieces and figure out how to pry it out. Barely was able to squeeze it past the battery. As for putting it back in...well lets just say its in there pretty solid, not perfectly but it works.
