Black "fuel gauge" cover-up

Unfortunitely, Simota's awesome "answer" is no longer available. Does anyone have another moderately priced alternative?

The gauge face is clear plastic that's been painted. So you can use paint thinner and cotton swab to remove the "amber" portions so it becomes clear. Head over to Black Cat Custom Automotive - Gauge Faces for all makes and models of cars and trucks - LED Lighting Upgrades and order a new gauge face. This is something I've done 2 years ago!

I ordered one of Simota's overlays, but never got around to installing it. At this point, I've gotten over the look of the fuel gauge.

Give me a few days to find the overlay. If I can put my hands on it, I'll drop you a PM asking for your address and drop it in the mail to you.

Very nice! I'm way too chicken to attempt this one.

Or you can just pull the gauge cover straight out and paint it black.

dang if someone would please make a precise cutout of that gauge cover for us in black...

there were 4 things i hated on my Z.

1) bestbuy boombox looking cluster
2) dumbo ear side mirrors blocking my view
3) HU
4) quiet exhaust

#2 and #3 and #4 i fixed.

Ken, Black Cat Custom. I've had the overlay for the past 2 years. You can customize the print and color however you like. It's the same thick material as the ones used for gauge faces.

I sent Black Cat an email asking how much. They don't have the 370 listed under Gauges.

The demand is low, but he can print out the fuel gauge face as well as the battery and oil temp gauge faces as well. That's pretty much all there is to change since the other gauge faces are not entirely flat, so he doesn't have the equipment for it.

It's $42 shipped from Black Cat Customs for the same setup Digi's got.
