370Z UV sunshield product review
After looking at Minicobra's THREAD - HERE and extrememly hot outside temparature
Currently 100 F but feel like at least 110 F http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02277.jpg I have decided to get a Sunshield for the Z. I was looking at the traditional sunshield like this one here http://www.thezstore.com/store/graph...arge502096.jpg but was looking for for something a little better quality for the Z. Then I stumbled upon this UV protecting sun shield that looks pretty good and well built. The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: UV Sunshield, 2009 370Z Quote:
http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02275.jpg outside. IF you look closely, you'll see the headlights are turned on (AUTO setting) http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02259.jpg Close up http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02270.jpg Interior. It almost matches my cloth interior. http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02284.jpg front http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02285.jpg Back side |
Looks good AK, my only question is how hard is the material? I have my V1 mounted underneath the rear view mirror and with the flimsy sunscreen I can sort of bend the shade to take it off without having to remove the V1. Any room underneath the rear view mirror for a V1 or other items which will allow the shade to be taken on/off easily?

Yep, those are exactly how mine fit, guess I could just order it and see. Not a huge deal to take it down when the shield goes up (usually should just to protect it).
|
That's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks
|
A picture request, how does the unit fold up, and any good place for it to rest while driving?
|
Nice one AK. Thanks for the review. I've been pondering around the idea of getting something like this.

As for the sunshield, my car's garaged and I never end up using em anyways due to lazyness. My 2 cents. :S |

expecting mine to come in the mail any day now. hardwire prolly sometime next week with the help of bigaudiofanat :happydance: |
I've got the same thing - the fold-up...
I stow it behind the passenger seat. Not really any better spot to put it... |

nice shade! good find.

Just got mine in, quicker than I though, but I was able to test the V1 and shade. With the V1 mounted using the mounting method in the pictures above I was unable to put on/off the shade. Though with three seconds of removing the V1 the shade was up and working, looks great, will give it a solid test tomorrow.

I received mine a little over a week ago and I love it. It keeps my car sooo much cooler, esp with the tint. It makes it harder to see in as well. It's a little tricky to put up and take down with how small the car is, but I haven't managed to hit anyone while doing it yet. I usually just tuck it behind the passenger seat, although it ends up behind my set if I take a quick turn. Not a big deal though.

Major temperature difference with it up. I live in Florida with temps around 90 everyday and the black dash would be on fire before I started using this.
Now it stays as cool in my car. ( I do have window tint as well ) Gets my vote for the best windshield visor for the 370 |

On topic// Great to know everyone is happy with it. It does reduce the interior temperature significantly. |
