Tail Lights not turning off

I had the same issue recently, the light won't turn off until running out of battery. My car also happens to be a Canadian version. The light is stuck on

My car also happens to be a Canadian version. The light is stuck on MID-DAY mode forever but the light switch is on OFF position. Does anyone have any idea which part went wrong?
