Are you planning on putting some mesh and/or ducting inside? Very ballsy, looks good! Should help vent the coffin-like engine compartment.

To time consuming and money. I'm to rough to do that and not cover it up.

Thanks. Yes, it's drying right now from painting it black.

Reinventing the wheel!

Props for doing it yourself!

I'm going with the norm, nismo RS vents with a Aston Martin/BMW vent near the windshield...

Well lets hope air flow goes out and not in.

Pics of this setup? As the main topic on this subject, won't a back vent do more harm than good?

Ps I just saw a post from 2011 from you on that hood, what you waiting for?!

Kingbaby 09-15-2013 05:04 AM

I did cut a hood and ruined it already! Next attempt is within my reach

synolimit 09-15-2013 01:48 PM

Ouch!

Kingbaby 09-15-2013 01:55 PM

Lol yea should of seen my face, when the cut went slightly off....

In for your finish!

Chuck33079 09-15-2013 02:16 PM

It takes a pair to start cutting out a hole on the hood. That's one of those "Gotta get it right on the first shot" types of mods.

i ran one of these and a louver when I had a front mount on my STI. Worked great. http://www.kstech.biz/servlet/the-26...I-scoop/Detail

Looks great (some closeups would be nice). Does it help with cooling?

No idea. Don't have logging tools and coolant never leaves 7th dot. Oil we'll see, I have to get on a track.
